School events bring learning to life and help shape our school culture. They help students build confidence, connect with others and celebrate their progress. Events also give families a chance to be involved in school life and share in their child’s achievements.

First Day of School
The first day of school is an exciting time where we welcome students and set the tone for a great year ahead. Students will engage in activities to help them settle in and feel comfortable.
Swimming carnival
The Twilight Swimming Carnival is a fun and exciting evening event for confident swimmers aged 8 and older. Students will take part in a variety of races.
Sports Programs
We run a number of sport programs throughout the year. These include gymnastics, basketball and athletics programs.
Harmony Day
Harmony Day is a special celebration where we come together to appreciate diversity and promote inclusiveness. Students are encouraged to wear orange and participate in activities that celebrate respect and community spirit.
Cross Country Carnival
The Cross Country event is a great opportunity for students to enjoy running and outdoor activity. Kindergarten to Year 2 students will participate in fun run activities designed to encourage fitness and participation in a supportive environment.
Athletics Carnival
The Athletics event offers exciting opportunities for all students to showcase their skills. Students aged 8 years and older will compete at Blair Oval, while those 7 years and under will take part in a fun school carnival onsite. Everyone is encouraged to join in and enjoy the day of friendly competition.
NAIDOC Week Celebration
NAIDOC Week is a special time when students participate in school-based activities that celebrate Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, histories, and achievements. It’s a meaningful opportunity to learn and reflect.
Verse Speaking Competition
In Term 1, the Verse Speaking Competition invites all students from K-6 to present a poem or verse. Finalists from each grade will then compete in exciting grade-level finals, showcasing their speaking skills and creativity.
Kindergarten 100 days of learning
The Kindergarten Celebration of 100 Days of Learning marks a special milestone where students reflect on their progress and achievements. Through fun and engaging activities, children celebrate all they have learned so far in their school journey.
Education Week
Education Week is celebrated during Term 3. Parents are invited to come up for a number of events such as open classrooms, Westfield performances and a whole school concert.
Book Week
Book Week is a joyful celebration of reading where students participate in a variety of fun activities that inspire a love of books and storytelling throughout the week.
Colour Run
The Colour Run is a fun and vibrant event where students enjoy running while getting splashed with colourful powders. It’s a joyful celebration of fitness, friendship, and school spirit for all participants.
